Travel Advancements For Which To Give Thanks.

This is a time of year to reflect.. and be grateful for the blessings in our lives. Even though there are many more complications when taking trips these days, let’s not forget the true spirit of traveling.  Here are some things to be thankful for before we take our next trip – possibly this week! I hope you encounter all of these innovations or luxuries on your next journey.

1) WiFi in the sky. Thank you to the airlines who brought us the internet on long flights! Now just make it free in coach :)

2) Brave fellow airline passengers who are alert and vigilant to intervene when they suspect another flier is setting off a bomb… aka the underwear bomber.

3) For parents – TV screens on the back of seats on long flights. OK, OK, I let them watch for hours!!

4) Those airline attendants who understand what it is like traveling with children…. and who let us pre-board!

5) The hotels that upgrade your room when the suites are available.

6) The hotels that don’t charge for WiFi… .C’mon Four Seasons – do it!

7) The Ipod – so we can put a sound track to our trips….

8) The Kindle and other e-books – so I don’ t have to carry 10 books and 20 magazines on each trip anymore… and can buy more without leaving the beach.

9) Online maps, online flight check-in, online travel booking, and websites that provide authentic and sometimes hilarious travel critiques.

10) And finally…A safe trip, and a travel mate who is willing and up for anything to share it with.

Thanks for reading this site – wishing you a day full of genuine gratitude.
